THE STORY BEHIND
THRIVING ON COACHING
Meet The CEO & Founder
Hey, I’m Kay Cee!
Of course, you didn’t come here to hear my life story, but I figured you might want to know more about the person you’re talking to and what Thriving On Coaching truly stands for.
To understand that, we need to go back to where it all began.
My Story
I didn’t just stumble into the nutrition and fitness world by accident.
Like a lot of you, I spent years trying to hate myself into the body and life I wanted.
I thought if I could just look a certain way, everything else would fall into place.
Instead, I found myself trapped in a cycle of self-destruction—struggling with an eating disorder for over 10 years, stuck in an abusive relationship, and coping with anxiety and depression through food and alcohol.
One day, I hit rock bottom. Thankfully, my family was there. My father gave me an ultimatum: start taking care of myself, starting with joining a gym.
On my first day, I sat in the car for 15 minutes, crying and shaking. The thing I feared most was exactly what I needed to change my life for the better.
That’s when I discovered my love for nutrition, fitness, and the community that came with it.
It didn’t just help me. It saved my life.
The strength and confidence I gained through giving a crap about how I treated my body and mind and who I surrounded myself with gave me the courage to take control of my life.
Not only that, it taught me that I COULD DO HARD THINGS.
This later led me to accomplishments that I never thought possible for myself, like becoming a national and internationally competitive weightlifter, pursuing a career in coaching nutrition and fitness for over 10 years, and being asked to step on stage and speak about how Thriving On Coaching is part of the new era of health and fitness coaching.
But along the way, I realized that we had to do better…
As I dug deeper into the fitness and nutrition industry, I faced a harsh reality: most programs, coaches, and strategies are cookie-cutter, uneducated, and leave people worse off than when they started.
The industry thrives on quick fixes and empty promises, but it rarely teaches how to create results that are sustainable.
Why? Because if you actually succeeded, they’d lose their repeat customers and their profit.
I’ve been there myself, falling for diet culture tactics, working with unqualified coaches, and following one-size-fits-all programs that only left me frustrated and defeated.
Your health is one of the most important investments you’ll ever make, and you deserve access to those who take this as seriously as you do.
So, I created Thriving On with one clear mission:
TO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE PEOPLE DESERVE TO BECOME THE CEO OF THEIR HEALTH FOR LIFE.
I wanted to help people finally see the results of the hard work they put in at the kitchen and the gym without starving themselves or sacrificing creating the best of memories.
But more than that, I wanted them to come out mentally and physically stronger than when they started.
I want people to know how to use nutrition and fitness as tools to live their best life—not as something that traps them like diet culture does. No starvation, no quick fixes—just real, sustainable results that build confidence and last a lifetime.
THUS CREATING THRIVING ON COACHING
This journey has led me to accomplish more than I ever could have imagined. From transforming lives worldwide to speaking on stage in front of hundreds of people about the impact we’re making, it’s been incredible to see what happens when you combine passion, purpose, and a community that truly care.
